Mobilising against the Nationality & Borders Bill – upcoming events

There is a Week of Action from 18th to 24th October

The Key National Event is the London 20th October Rally in Solidarity with Refugees organised by Solidarity with RefugeesSisters Not Strangers, One Strong Voice, Women Asylum Seekers Together- Manchester, Women for Refugee Women, Amnesty International and Imix.

City of Sanctuary UK staff plan to attend so look out for our banner and join us. If you are able to attend then you can use this easy email action from Refugee Action to invite your MP to join you and hear your concerns. You can adapt it to your own MP depending on their current position and your relationship with them.

Other events during the Week of Action can be found on the Together With Refugees website here. Please tell them about your events.

Click here for information to help you get media coverage for your event. And here is some Social Media Guidance from Asylum Matters to help you get the word out about the events and activities you’re taking part in to ensure they’re all linked up as part of a wider movement to stand #TogetherWithRefugees and campaign against the #AntiRefugeeBill.

Asylum Matters  has developed a number of #AntiRefugeeBill resources  suitable for the Week of Action, to adapt, print and use at your events. This folder includes artwork for stickers, badges, placards and postcards, with both ‘Together with Refugees’ orange hearts and ‘Scrap the #AntiRefugeeBill’ messaging.
